One of the scariest and most crucial moments of the recovery process is the transition from residential rehabilitation back into society. Aftercare options are available to help with this process, both for the client and their loved ones.
A Gentle Transition
Our clients are strongly encouraged to undergo our Intensive Outpatient Program, particularly if they wish to continue to work with staff while attempting transition back into the community. Our program allows clients to engage in work and school responsibilities while continuing their therapeutic endeavors.
Areas of Treatment/Learning in the Intensive Outpatient Program:
- Prevention of Relapse
- How Addiction Effects the Brain
- Addiction Theories
- Trigger and Coping Mechanisms
- Stages of Change
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Meditation and Awareness
- Career/Job Skills
- Understanding Codependency
- How to Build Self-Esteem
- Stress Management
- How to Build Healthy Relationships
Addict’s Helpline has developed relationships with transitional housing for client referral upon discharge. These homes provide clean and sober living environments to help with the recovery process after rehab is over. This is just as important as rehab itself in helping the client maintain sobriety once they have re-entered society.
